took it for its first real ride to the gas stationg, everything ran good till i got on my street and stopped to talk to the nieghbor. started back up then went to shift and it wouldnt shift. the tranny cable melted in between the header and starter so it lost the tension for the actual cable to shift it. so got some more work to do should be all set by the end of the week and it was running hot so gotta get that figured out to. and wheels will be in monday finally

what a car!!

I am pretty new to this site and have been watching the progress of this amazing car, I totally agree this is the inspiration of so many mopar nuts to have a ride even half as creative and well put together. I believe you said you were from springfild, will this car {you} be going to the worcester nationals? on july 4

Totally insane build mate - love the lines, style, final fitout - just all good!! I'm about a year behind you with a similar build in New Zealand. just dumped some pics of the painted car on my album and the members rides section. have shaved the car fully as per yours, but flipped and mounted a rear bumper up front and colour coded the bumpers to match the car. also welded up the bumper bolts from the rear and ground the tops of so fully cleam bumper lines!!Hoping to have it started in the next 2-4 weeks , but will be 6-9 months till she'd on the road! keep loading up pics of your beast mate!! Is making everyones day following the progress!!!cheers cam

hey guys! thanks for the good words. sorry i havnt been on in a while, ive been working on my new project alot and been on other forums trying to get some info for it.

mopar nate - the wheels are centerline lazers and i personally will never order from them again after the hell they put me through trying to get them, the story is to long for my typing patience haha.

deadkelly - the paint is from shirwin williams auto paint out of there hot rod color booklet, the code is U7-59378 OO (G). and im about %100 no one remakes those manifolds anymore. from the time ive started the car ive seen two sets for sale around my area that were asking rediculous prices.

updates, the front wheels finally came in last month and i got them on the car now. i have no pics of the car with all the wheels on cause its tucked away in a cellar for winter. it ran great all year, just gets hot on a really hot day, i got some changes i want to make when i get it out of storage in spring, one is getting the exhaust redone because i absolutely hate how it hangs down so much. heres some pics of it back in summer. (im no photographer and either is my walmart digital camera haha)
