1991 w 250 pickup

Hi,
I have no power to the coil and fuel pump.I tracked it back to the relay.I think the key switch is not activating the relay.is there a wire i can put power to at the relay or tests at the key switch/ignition to see if it getting the signal or shall i just start replacing things?

You can put a power wire from the battery to the relay and see if things turn on. If they do, they it's your switch. If they don't then replace your relay and see where that takes you.

I just replace the relay . No better. Does it get triggered from the switch or the computer.
I ordered the ignition switch for tomorrow.

It actually gets power from teh battery but the ignition switch is what allows the power to get to the fuses/relays.

Welcome by the way. Any pics of your truck?

Thanks for the welcome. Here's what I found... I had no power to the coil and
No activation of the fuel pump on the first turn of the key. I noticed that after the truck was in pushed inside the garage for plow frame work, it would start and run fine until it was cool again. After much research on the web I tested all the relays and realized I had no ground signal from the PCM. So the it hit me if I warm the PCM it should start. So I stuck a hair dryer in to the hose and after five minutes the relays would click and the fuel pump would run and the truck starts. So I duct taped a hair dryer in the hose and run it off a generator in the bed. Just kidding so now that I now it's the PCM I will just order one. No such luck! The PCM that came out has no numbers on it and it is a used unit . I don't even know if it is the right one! Now what? I am going to call auto computer exchange tomorrow and see if they can program it off the vin info and application.

Great find!

Being a 91, it's too old for the dealer to get you a new one. However, they may be able to provide you with some info about it. There are a few companies out there that I know flash GM computers and they come with a lifetime warrenty. I know about the GM computers because the four wheeling community use mostly GM motors in rock crawlers due to how cheap they are. If they can do GM, then they might be able to reflash your Dodge PCM. They can even "tune" it if you've added upgrades like cam, intake, headers, etc..
