Three weeks ago, the sun came back, and started warming up everything, so I got back in to it, and gave the airfilterhousing a good cleaning!
Spend the better part of a week, cleaning the rims, and giving them a little shine! hehehe

that was a lot of work. Most would have scrapped the car already so nice going. I saw the collapseable spare and most here wouldn't have a clue what it is from. I dont think that model came with it but still nice to have one.

And the only 2 with original 360, are here in Norway (as far as we know)
So killing the car, was not an option! hehehe
No, the car came with an normal sized spare, and I think the rubber on this one is dead anyway, so I'll just find a normal one, and throw it in the trunk.
I have just ordered an overhaulkit, for the TQ, I think it's time it got a cleaning and a tune up. It's a very thirsty engine, and im slowly buying home all the part for her tune up. but I think, that the engine has to come out, for an overhaul, (Leaking rear main seal)
Also, a good cleaning of the engine in the car is on the list, need more ducttape tho! hehehe

Wow that's a lot of work, looks great. Using a DVD case to make a gauge housing that's ingenious! I once used an old Allen wrench as a spark plug wire mount. Do you hear the McGyver theme in the back ground when you are working? But all jokes aside great job. Don't see many people willing to go this distance.

Thank you and Yes, the Primer is a 97% zink primer, made for ocean going ships.
If it survives 10 years on the sea, it should survive 5 years on the salted roads of Norway! hehehe

Looking forward to seeing if theese actually fit! hehehe
And got a overhaulkit for the TQ.
Anonymous box
He turned it inside out, cool.
Included a letter with phonenumber, and a little, well you se!
But the content of the box was interesting!
Maybe thats why, he wanted the number from the carb!
Instructions
Loooong instructions
It all looked like it was there!
Everything got putted back in the box, and wrapped in a plastic bag, just so I dont knock it down, and loose all the parts! hehehehe
Tomorrow's going to be fun hehehehe

And that is a nice interior! hehehe Almost to bad, to bang up a Mirada in a derby, but it's your car. hehehe
Besides, it will make the ones that survive even more rare! hehehe

A few pics, of the rust in the boot!
This was done by a "pro" business in norway, they just welded it!!
I'll be welding these nut on, so I don't have to have arms that are 20feet long!
To windy today, to weld, or crawl under the car, so I worked on the doorpins !!
Wonderfull with no more sagging doors! hehehe

If you can wait a while, we can work something out. I have 12 cars I am smashing this year, this is the last one I picked up. I might be running this one early, so it may start getting stripped in a few weeks. I have no idea what it would cost to ship something there… It cost me $70 to ship a small dash clock to Paris.

This is what happens, when you promise not to shave and cut, your hair/beard, before the Dodge gets the OK from the shop
But I took care of the rust in the trunk, and got the tank out, and ready for cleaning!
This was the reason I wanted, to take the tank out!
Just pure rust!
And now it's time for a cold beer!

Startet my morning with coffee and a grinder, cleaning the rsut of the tank!
Undercoating, some sticky s..t, that takes forever to dry, but its tuff as nails
Testet the trailer electrical connector, and got no signals, what so ever!
guess I now know why!!
ready for a new connector
Took care of the last doorpins!
So glad they overcompensated, the wiring i the doors! hehehe
Got a helping hand from the wifey, handling the doors, they are heavy as H..l and impossible to handle with one hand! hehehe
Trunkfloor is whole again, and primed, the underside got the same treatment as the gastank.
Mailwoman was a bit late today, but she's forgiven, she brought me treats! hehehehe
Took me some time to adjust, but it fits perfectly!!!
Looking forward for tomorrow, then the gastank gets back in the car, along with the trailerhitch, and she will get back on the ground!!!!
Last pic, and no, after 7 hours, the s..t is still not dry!!!! hahahahah

Got wipers, its the skrapers outside, on the doors (cant recall the english word for them!)
Got a little work done yeterday
Got buckets og bolts, nuts, and other fastners, collected over the years, from scrapped cars.
A happy mess of stupid wiring, bad connections, and matchbox soldering!!
Spended a few hours cleaning up the wiring in the trunk!
I hate these!
Lets make a better and safer connection
Any questions?

I'm getting closer to locating the grounded wire, that shorts out my fuse for the taillights!
Unfortunatly, it takes time, and a lot of digging, in the wireloom under the dash!
And after a few hours, I found this!
So I need some help here.
What is this?
What does it do?
Where do I get a new one, with wires?

[QUOTE=sound227;102174]Too bad you are not close to me… I just picked this one up, and will be stripping it to smash in a demolition derby. Only rust is the bottom of the passenger side quarter panel.

Here I have spend three days, on my back, lying, sitting, squatting, all very unpleasant! But it needed to be done!
Some cleanup is needed
Yes, I have removed all the tape, wherever i needed to check the loom
After three hours it looked like this
I went through the firewall, in search of the d...g short, it was not inside the car, or in the trunk, so it had to be in the engine compartment!
Guess what, it was my stupid norwegian parkinglight!
All of this, will get taped back together again, AFTER I have made sure, that everything works! (Whats that green box again??)
This was no fun, I understand why some people give up a car due to electric problems!

Thanks, the pigtail, is a big improvement over the European power thief!
one of my early cars bursted into flames, due to an electrical short.
So I try to clean up any flaws and other dangerous wiring issues!
Not always easy to spot! hehehe

Finally some progress, The short in the wiring has been located and eliminated! It also turns out, that my rear tail/brakelight sockets are the new issue! They are 30 years old, and they short every time I put in one of my new bulbs!
So I've decided that they are gone, ordered new T20 sockets from ebay, and they will be here in three weeks!
In the meantime, I have to figure out, how to get som tail lights on the car! hehehe
Good to se somebody working! hahhahahahaha
And more testing!
And after some more testing, I found - & + and soldered the wires in for the vacuum meter! so now, I have a nice indicator, if I have forgotten to turn the lights on!
Finally my workshop manual came, so I'm spending a lot of time in front of the screen now
And after 10 minutes of reading, I had to see if I could find some numbers on the block. And guess what, I found these!! OW360HP0520

New light bulb sockets have arrived!
10 sockets at the price of 12$ shipping included, nice!
Stepdrill, willpower, and some contact cement, and the new sockets fit in the old ones!!
Soldering iron, shrink tube, and a little luck, and they were fitted in the old sockets!!
Couldn't find my Micholder for my CB, so I made my own!
Thought my cb would fit nice here!
Yup, It does!
Not much clearance!!
The last piece before the car is ready
Got some more carbtuning, before she's ready for the road, but she runs good now!

Well, two days ago, I startet her up, right before the test session at the local garage (we have to get our cars approved every 2 years, in order to drive legally on the roads!) And she smoked like my grandpa!!
i'm not kidding, she laid a thick carpet of smoke all over the yard!
I think I need to check the valve stem seals, and the rings! and the rear main seal is leaking, so the engine is coming out!
Yup, this is coming out, and tried to get it done in one day, with the tools I have!
over the last few years we have lost quite a few people around here, because they didnt secure their cars, and the started working under them!
But stands won't help, if the car is on an incline, and rolls backwards! secure the wheels!
These were brandnew plugs, 3 smelled of gasoline, and the rest were full of sot!
Kept going right til the rain came, then I stopped for the day
I hope it is out later today, and that the rain stays away until I'm done. hehehe
