'67 cuda 340 1/4 mi time
hi folks this is my setup which i am happy with but wouldn't mind knocking a liittle time off. eng. is .030 over trw 10.5 stl crank arp rod bolts balanced. iron heads from hughes supposed to flow as edel rpm heads 2.02 1.625 valves hyd 238/244 .535/.540 cam roller rockers airgap rpm intake port matched 750 dbl pumper out of the box no jet change. tti headers 3in exh to mufflers 2.5 out the back. i uncap the mufflers @ the track. 727 manual valve body 3700 stall 4.30 gear. 26" slicks. i know i could get a better et with a higher stall but i do drive this on the street not like a daily driver but rather for fun best et is 12.13@114 mph. fast enough to surprize some bigblocks. i am satisfied with this just wondering if i could shave off a little with some changes. i don't like nitrous. with a 3200 stall my et was 13.00@115or6. 60 ft was slow

My 2 cents .... put the car on a diet, if it dont need it rip it out - set of real skinny's up front and go with a 4200 stall and bump your gear up to a 4.56 or 4.88 ..... you'll notice a diffrence

im running a 4.30 gear with 26in slicks so im just about maxed out crossing the line at 6600 rpm. i think a 4200 stall would definately get me a faster time i might try that also i was thinking of a fiberglass hood a little weight loss

This place makes good stuff I've gotten a few things from them, and all were top notch workmanship - they have everything for your 67 - keep your gear, play with the stall and throw some glass on you'll go faster

With a 26" tire, you should be at like 4:10s or 3:91s..
And you don't need a roll cage until you hit 11.49 or faster.
I have a 27" tire on my car with 3:55s, when i put my 26" tires on, i ran a half tenth quicker then my 27" tires, but less miles per hour.

blue 68 gts you have a big block in your car the gearing really depends on where the powerband is in your engine mine makes good power from 4 thru 7000 rpm. i will look into the rollcage i thought it was 11.99. you don't by chance have a dad that runs a yellow 68 gts.
