SONOMA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual FRAM-Autolite NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Right Lane: Gordie Rivera Runs 6.789/203.95, Now #1
Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 47 percent, barometer 29.88 inches, adjusted altitude 2,227 feet.
Rivera making his first appearance on the tour since his incident in Phoenix earlier this year. Rivera with a nice pass, straight down the groove.
Left Lane: Jim Cunningham Runs 6.799/201.79, Now #2
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 16.863/45.87, Now #3
Enders with a lot of tire shake and she pushed in the clutch early. Cunningham got out of the groove on the top end and over by the wall.

Both of these guys qualified for the Countdown to 1 last week on Sunday in Seattle.
Coughlin with a real nice pass and the fastest pass of the session to go to the number two spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.993 sec., 330ft-2.780, 660ft-4.266/165.66 mph, 1,000ft-5.546. Anderson slowed on the top end, but still goes to the number four spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.770, 660ft-4.254/165.40 mph, 1,000ft-5.541.

This was a great drag race to wrap up round one off qualifying as these two go to the number one and two spots.
