318 rebuild or late model hemi swap
I have a 1990 d150 with a 318. This is my first project truck. Runs and drives but has lots of small problems and some big one. Freeze plug pushed out behind the bell housing, leaks oil basically from every gasket except the heads. I hope to build it into a muscle truck. My question is should I take the time to rebuild this tired 318 or do a 5.7 hemi swap. I love the late model hemi. I have a 2016 durango it's a blast to drive. It also has a 4 speed Trans in it. The seller said it was something called a dog box. I don't know what that is. But I'd like to keep it stick shift. Any info about the 318 would be appreciated. As well as your opinion on swapping or rebuilding. I'm new to wrenching other than General mantainence.

You might consider a 360 Magnum swap.
