Park to Neutral / Winch & Trailer | 1955 Dodge Custom Royal
Hello Community,
my name is Tom, I'm 29 and come from Germany. 2 Months ago i bought a 1955 Dodge Custom Royal - a real beautiful car. It was used by an american Soldier placed here in Germany. In 5 days i will pick the Dodge up with a truck and now i have a question about safety.
The electrics of the car has been completely dismantled and are therefore not functional. The first time I looked at the car it was parked in N. Since I'm pulling the car out with a winch, how should I go about it? Release the handbrake and then the park leveler (where is it?) Pull onto the trailer with the winch in N and then back to N, P Leveler On and handbrake?
Thanks for Helping me and sorry for my bad english

Hello and welcome to the forum, hand brake, park brake I’m not sure what your talking about but if your looking for park in the transmission I’m not sure there is one. Some early automatic transmission didn’t have it.
when transporting and car on a trailer I’ve always used park and set the mechanical brake if the vehicle had one. Some people don’t use park in the transmission when hauling because of possible transmission damage.
