2 stroke oil in diesels
have any of you heard of mixing 2 stroke oil @ a ratio of 200:1 with your diesel ????? i've read a fair bit on the net about it . enough so that i have try'd it & my 2.8 3l hilux ran quieter & smoother . i just bought mine a few months ago & has just gone 400 000 klm last week . the 1st tank with the 2 stroke mix i used it all up. then next refill used a injector & fuel cleaner & 1/2 a mile down the road it was back to noisy old diesel again . yesterday i filled it up again will the 2stroke mix & smoother & quieter again . it says on the net about a low sulpher mix diesel world wide since 2005 & since then diesel injector pumps & injectors & seals have been crapping out . lots of talk on some of the aussie 4x4 sites on the subject . there claiming less black smoke & more low down torque & better mileage . i think my old girl has a few to many klms on the clock to tell about extra power gains but it is for sure quieter & running smoother .

My dad use to run trany fluid in the fuel a ratio i don't remember it made it run quieter.
something about the injectors getting covered with the soot causing a "pop" or a clack sound when they spray, the oil did the same made it quieter
