Header Size

Anyone with some firsthand experience changing from 1-7/8" to 2" headers on a 505 inch stroker? Currently building the 505. Currently have 1-7/8" TTIs but not sure if the bang for the buck will be there if I upgrade.

I would say it depends on the rpm range you are planning on running, If you’re going to turn it 6500 to 7000 rpm on the strip,13/4” headers might cost you 30 to 40 hp but if you’re just running around town the smaller headers will be fine. I run 2” on my Plymouth with a 500” 440 and Ive always thought they were the minimum size for a race 440 let alone a 500.
