Brake Power booster

I have a problem with my brake booster on my 1959 Chrysler New Yorker.it leaks vacuum from one bracket to the hose. I unscrewed a little in case there was a gasket behind there, but it was not.when I bought the car it did not leak, because someone had put tape over it. I put duct tape temporarily there, but it sucked a hole in it after a while. I do not really know how this brake booster works, but thought that someone here knows enough. I enclose a picture with an arrow where it is leaking somewhere. someone who might be able to explain if there should be something there that seals?

hmmmm not sure what went on in those early years, but yeah, if it leaks there then block it with something beefier than tape.

It is rusty, but no hole.It comes from below, the two holes on the hose connection.

Now I got an answer from a brake servo mechanic. He wrote: There the servo takes in and out air to be able to work. If you have a vacuum suction there, the hose inside the servo can come loose, but not likely.

Temp good fix would be to sand it and then use J.B. Weld to patch it up till you are able to source one.
Maybe check with these folks >>>>>>>> https://www.dvap.com/

I will remove it, plug the vacuum hose and then take it apart and see the inside. Possibly I buy a rebuilt one from the USA or a rebuild kit. I found a place in the US that sold it for $ 365.65 and in Sweden they cost about $ 1000.

If it cost $1000 to replace it I would try to repair it first, Bob's JB Weld or a metal bonding epoxy could work for you. Just prepare the surface before attempting repairs.

It was the hose on the inside that had jumped loose, pulled small hose clamps there .. all gaskets looked nice, then put on silicone grease again and put everything back in order.
Primer on and then black paint
