Engine code - identification

I’m new to this forum, I live in southern Maryland and restore Power Wagons.

the W500 I bought had a non-running 318 LA replacement engine.
I located a 318 poly and had it installed.
my question is whether this is the “truck poly”, a 318-3.
there are numbers on the passenger front of the block,
2468230 (the 6 may be an 8)
on the intake it says
2206383V

what engine is this?
thanks

That casting number shows to be a 318 Poly block.

Thanks!
Can you share here how the number code shows it's a poly? Just curious.
I'm hoping it is the heavy truck version, "318-3"
with hydraulic lifters,

I got hold of my machinist, my engine had hydraulic lifters, so it IS the 318-3 heavier truck version. There were a few other features of this truck 318 polywhich were stronger than the car 318 poly. I don’t recall off the bat what they were.

Yes starting your own thread with more information and a few pictures would be helpful, include information about heads, pistons, rods, crank, oil pump etc. and cam shaft. Putting the label Race motor on a $20,000 engine or a $500 engine we don’t know.
