2wd to 4wd

2wd to 4wd
Hi new member here, I’ll put up pictures of my trucks soon but for now here’s my situation:
I have a 91 D250 (2wd) in really good shape, no rust/never hit. And I just found a 79 W150 Power Wagon (4wd) with original dealer plow package AND incredibly low original 55000 km, but truck has quite a bit of rust/wear &tear inside. It was a farm truck and it shows. But for $1500 I just had to get it. It’s been sitting in a barn for the past 20 years.
Both have the 318, single cabs and long box. Both automatics: the D250 has the a500 and the W150 has the 727
I wonder if it would be possible to upgrade the D250 to 4wd using the W150? Or is it simpler/cheaper to fix up the old plow truck and use it for winter/trail truck?
Side note: not sure why but the power wagon has 150 on the fender and is 4wd, but the vin code is for a W100 and the registration is for a D150 which is for a 2wd.
any constructive feedback is gratefully welcomed!
